"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
Marianne Williamson
I have worked for many years in the area of Training, Development and Innovation. I have experience
in the design and implementation of professional training. I am self-employed and am currently working on several projects, one of which is a
Skillnet, which is funded by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
I have always been truly fascinated with the human ability to learn, develop and self-actualise, particularly the leap between acquiring skills and self-actualisation. The latter of which I see as a process as opposed to an end in itself. This theme is reflected equally in my career and chosen studies.
From a Training perspective with the correct information delivered in the appropriate manner people can develop useful skills in the workplace which can in turn improve overall confidence. We are all different, and therefore have different ways of acquiring and processing information so I am interested to understand the differences in the learning process in the individual.
I see Coaching as an effort to manage the acquired skills and experience to ensure that they are aligned with the long term career goals of the individual. This is the case no matter what the person's situation ie self-employed, an executive in a multi-national, etc.
